Bitter Sweet

Maren, you are really changing! And, I am so happy for you. I want you to thrive, to grow, to learn, but, not too quickly without me. Adoption is such a blessing. It is a true miracle. I know that God has led us to you. He picked you out special for us. I hope you will grow to believe the same thing about us one day.

I am longing to hold you. I am longing for the day that we will finally meet and you can wrap your little finger around my pointer. You are learning to smile. I love your beautiful smile. And, I am so glad that God is giving you joy. I want your life to be full and exciting. And, I am missing being there for you.
