I'm writing this post for a little bit of closure. Today we said goodbye to Lucy. We gave her to a teenage girl and her mom who really wanted a dog. I love pets. I love little lovable creatures. I think a puppy or kitten is a little piece of heaven on earth. However, Lucy sheds and she has been leaving us some little presents that we haven't appreciated on our carpet. With the baby coming and the intense season we are about to enter we cerebrally decided we weren't doing a good job of caring for Lucy. And, Maren is much more important! We want to be ready to give her our full attention. And so with a little bit of relief and some tears we said goodbye to Lucy.
